CyberSoft Announces VDL Changes for VSTK 175
Changes to the account.conf file for VSTK 175 users using automatic VDL updates
Log on to CyberSoft's virus definition update site as usual.
Add these two (2) lines to the account.conf file. If one does not exist, then create it.
export HTTP_USER=your_username
export HTTP_PASSWD=your_password
You may need to change the permissions for the vdlupdate script using 'chmod a+x vdlupdate' so that the script will be executable.
The vdlupdate script can be found in the /bin directory in your /VSTK home directory. You may edit the vdlupdate script to suit your individual needs but no modifications should be necessary.
Once the account.conf file has been saved you will not need to make any further changes to keep receiving VDL updates.
